Specialists: AI beside people who work with people
A free series for social workers, teachers, psychologists, nurses, mentors — and for those who build AI systems for social services. How artificial intelligence can take on part of the paperwork and organising, while the person in front of you stays with a person.
01What the series is
Fourteen lessons: two shared by everyone and two for each of six professions. The first lesson for a profession shows the perfect day — hour by hour, what the human does and what AI does alongside. The second shows the virtual twin — how the specialist organises their own working memory and saves time on documentation.
- Every lesson starts with a one-line passport: path, determinant, UN target, WHO question, type of impact, how we measure.
- Every lesson follows the same 7 steps: recall → one new idea → worked example → try and change → make your own → explain to someone → come back after a week.
- Every lesson applies the Do No Harm rules. AI does not diagnose, does not decide for a person and does not see personal data without a legal basis and an impact assessment. The human decides.
- Examples are fictional and marked as an “example case”. Legal norms are checked online with a date. The lessons are not legal advice.
02How to use it
Start with Do No Harm (SP-01)
The four rules you apply before AI sees a single word about a person. Mandatory first — for every profession.
Then Measuring without tracking (SP-02)
How to show your work helps without exposing anyone: count, role, town — no names.
Pick your profession → the perfect day
The day hour by hour: what stays with the human alone and where AI really saves time.
Then → the twin
A one-page entry, a decision card, notes under a code instead of a name, a weekly review — your organised memory.
Come back after a week
Every lesson ends with three questions for a week later. Answer them without looking at your notes.
03The two shared lessons
04The six professions
Social worker
The day: faster paperwork, people stay with people. The twin: a one-page entry, a decision card, case notes by code instead of name.
Educator
The day of a teacher and resource teacher: materials and paperwork faster, children stay with people. The twin: the memory of the work, notes by code, a weekly review.
Psychologist
The day: the session stays human, paperwork gets faster. The twin: practice memory, case notes by code kept local only. AI does no therapy and no diagnosis.
Nurse
The shift hour by hour: lighter paperwork, care without a machine, no medical decisions and no doses by AI. The twin: your own working memory with no patient data in AI.
Mentor 50+
The day: an experienced professional mentors young people with AI alongside — a one-page mentoring agreement. The twin: experience in one simple memory, slow pace, plain words.
AI architect in the social sector
The day of the person who builds the twins for NGOs and social services — DPIA, the AI Act, four eyes. The twin: local versus global, and the handover.
