About the library
Who publishes the Children's Library, what its cause is and by what rules lessons are written and reviewed. This page is for parents, teachers and partners.
The cause
The library is published by the East Accelerator Foundation. One cause: support for the specialists who work with children and adults.
Who publishes and who hosts
Publisher
East Accelerator Foundation (EAF) — eastaccelerator.com. It decides what is published and is responsible for the library.
Host
The kagami.bg website of KAGAMI Ltd. provides the place where the library lives. The host does not decide the content of the lessons.
Free forever
- Every lesson, parent guide and translation is free and will stay free.
- There is no paid tier, no advertising to children and no selling of data.
- The lessons contain no appeals for money or donations. They are for children and parents only.
Licence
Our lessons are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0: you may share and adapt them if you credit the source and keep the same licence. A lesson adapted from a third-party source keeps the terms of that source. If the source is non-commercial, the adaptation is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 and is clearly marked. The exact licence and sources are at the end of each lesson.
No personal data, no tracking
- No profiles, no cookies, no ads and no external scripts other than the fonts.
- A child does not enter personal data. The only form is “I have a question”: the child writes a question without name, address, school or phone, and the parent provides an e-mail and consent.
- Nothing is sent without the parent's confirmation, and everything is deleted after 48 hours. A confirmed question is kept for 30 days at most.
- We count actions, not people: for example how many times a lesson was opened. There are no points, streaks or rankings.
How lessons are written and reviewed
- One lesson at a time. Each lesson is written, checked and tested on its own, with no bulk replacements.
- Facts first. Numbers, commands, diagrams and links are checked before the text is written. What is not checked is not claimed.
- Sources. Every lesson ends with a table: title, author, source, rights.
- Reviewed by a person. The label at the top of the page says who reviewed it and on what date. When artificial intelligence helped with a lesson, this is stated.
- Safety. Electronics only with USB 5 V or 3.3 V (and small batteries up to 4.5 V, with an adult). On sensitive topics there is one sentence only: “If something scares you, tell an adult you trust.”
- Bulgarian and English. The two versions are separate pages with the same file names.
